چکیده
In order to clarify the sedimentary development law under Cambrian Ordovician regional stratigraphic framework in Tadong area, and lay a theoretical foundation for further oil gas exploration study area. The distribution, characteristics evolution of main facies belts are studied by means drilling core observation, cast thin section identification, logging curve feature analysis, seismic profile well connection profile. results show that middle lower area is equivalent second-order sequence can be divided into 12 thirdorder sequences. Each third-order mainly composed transgressive highstand tracts. Carbonate platform margin beach Reef (mound) complex favorable reservoir this area; Under framework, three types identified Ordovician, total 10 subfacies developed; controlled rise fall sea level, which characterized migration change facies.

The Ordovician Radiation: A Follow-up to the Cambrian Explosion?
There was a major diversification known as the Ordovician Radiation, in the period immediately following the Cambrian. This event is unique in taxonomic, ecologic and biogeographic aspects. While all of the phyla but one were established during the Cambrian explosion, taxonomic increases during the Ordovician were manifest at lower taxonomic levels although ordinal level diversity doubled. Marin...
متن کاملFirst Record of Fresh Water Gastropods and Sedimentary Facies of Nezam-Abad area, South-East Bam, Iran
Sediments of the Nezam-Abad area, south-east of Bam have been studied for the first time. Sedimentary facies are composed of thin-bedded clay, silt and fine grained sand interbedded with thin laminated limestone. Chemical analysis of X-Ray florescent indicates that more than 50% of sediments consist of silisium and aluminum oxide that can be used for reconstruction of environment. Ninety eight ...
متن کاملCarbonates in Skeleton-Poor Seas: New Insights from Cambrian and Ordovician Strata of Laurentia
Calcareous skeletons evolved as part of the greater Ediacaran/Cambrian diversification of marine animals; however, skeletons did not become permanent, globally important sources of carbonate sediment until the Ordovician radiation. Representative carbonate facies in a Series 3 Cambrian to Tremadocian succession from western Newfoundland and Ordovician successions from the Ibex area, Utah, show ...
متن کاملSedimentary Facies, Architectural Elements and Trace Fossils of Kashkan Formation, Folded Zagros Zone in SW Iran
The Kashkan Formation (Paleocene to Middle Eocene), consists of conglomerate, sandstone, and siltstone in the Zagros Folded zone, southwest Iran. Type of the sedimentary facies, architectural elements and trace fossils show that Kashkan deposits were formed in a low sinuosity braided stream system, with north to south flow direction. The formation displays coarsening-upward succession reflects ...
